The Center for Healthcare Improvement designates this educational activity for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. The number of credits earned is 1 credit per hour of education to a maximu of 7 credits per day of educational programs.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with their participation in the activity.

Statement of Need:

Over the past decade, there has been a tremendous increase in demand by patients for aesthetic procedures utilizing laser and injectable technologies. In response to this demand, there has been an increase in the number of physicians and physician specialties performing these procedures. Data demonstrates that this increase in the number of procedures preformed annually is associated with an increase in adverse events reported in patients undergoing aesthetic treatment.

Our needs assessment demonstrates physician need for education in the understanding not only in the safe use of non-ablative aesthetic lasers and dermal fillers, but also in how to incorporate these technologies into their practices.
